NItcore UMS2 2 Bay Charger Overview
The Nitecore UMS2 2 Bay Charger utilizes the latest technology to efficiently charge and monitor your batteries in a user-friendly manner within a portable device. This charger has a lightweight and ultra compact dimensions with two battery bays and an LCD display screen. With the UMS2, you can charge two batteries simultaneously while controlling each slot independently. This intelligent charger automatically detects the power level of your batteries and appropriately selects the output voltage and charging mode. Nitecore understands the importance of user and battery interaction and therefore gives you the option to manually select things like voltage and charging mode. While the UMS2 is plugged into a 2A Micro-USB charger, the device has a total max output charging current of 4000mA with both slots in use. When only one slot is in use, the charging current for that slot increases to 3000mA to give you a faster charging time. These battery bays are compatible with IMR and Li-ion batteries such as 18650, 20700, 21700 and your more typical AA, AAA, AAAA, C, and D batteries. The LCD display on this charger shows battery health, charging time, charged volume, charging current, battery voltage and type, cut-off voltage, and charging mode. Nitecore has equipped the UMS2 with an energy saving function that dims the screen after ten minutes without action. Safety features of the UMS2 include short circuit protection, overcharging protection, and reverse polarity protection. To further prevent from potential hazards, Nitecore has given the UMS2 Charger intelligent temp regulations and cooling fins all around the top of the charger.
